Welcome to Viganj.info!
Windsurf on the coast
Viganj is a village on the western side of Pelješac peninsula, about 12-13 km away from
Orebić, the main town of the peninsula, accessible through neighboring
. This is the westernmost settlement on the southern side of the peninsula,
and also the beginning of the ascending road to Lovište
- the NW tip of Pelješac.
The close to 1000 meter high hills of Pelješac and the 500 meter high peaks of Korčula
Island turn the Viganj section of Pelješki Channel into a wind channel. Viganj's special appeal is based on this wind
channel: the village has been a magnet for windsurfing and kitesurfing fans for quiet some time now, and also the host
of several world championships. Besides surfers, there is, of course, room for anyone who is in search for a pleasant,
relaxed holiday destination on the Adriatic.
